TURKEY 2023 SUMMIT AND MONEY TALKS WERE HELD ON NOV. 4

Attended by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan with a video message, Turkey 2023 Summit was held on Nov. 4, 2021. At the summit, organized by the Turkuvaz Media Group flagship daily Sabah Newspaper and the economy channel A Para, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Dönmez, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu and Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum took part in special panel speeches.

The 'Turkey 2023 Summit', where all the details of Turkey's 2023 vision were discussed, started with the opening speech of General Manager of Sabah & Daily Sabah Print Media Advertising and Member of the Executive Board Ceyda Uzman. At the Summit, Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Minister Murat Kurum made important statements about Turkey's environment, urbanism and climate policies, moderated by Sabah Newspaper columnist Feride Cem.

In the beginning of the "Today and Tomorrow of Energy" panel, Energy Minister Dönmez, who joined the panel via online, responded to the questions of Sabah Newspaper Ankara Representative and columnist Okan Müderisoğlu. 

In the panel, Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Dr. Alparslan Bayraktar, DEIK Energy Business Council President Haluk Kalyoncu, SOCAR Turkey CEO Zaur Gahramanov, Türkiye Insurance General Manager Atilla Benli, Zorlu Energy Group Sector President and ELDER Board Member Sinan Ak and SHELL Turkey Country President Ahmet Erdem shared their views.

Transport Minister Karaismailoğlu spoke at the opening of the "Future Technologies and Infrastructure Investments" panel, moderated by A Para News Director Serdar Kuter. Türk Telekom General Manager Ümit Önal, Turkcell Superonline General Manager Emre Erdem, TÜRKSAT General Manager Hasan Hüseyin Ertok, Northern Marmara Highway General Manager Aynur Uluğtekin and Trendyol Group President Çağlayan Çetin participated in the panel.

The panel on "Environmentally Friendly Cities", moderated by Sabah Newspaper Economy columnist Feride Cem, was attended by Sur Yapı and KONUTDER Chairman of the Board Z. Altan Elmas, Biotrend Energy Board Member Salih Tuncer Mutlucan, Tabanlıoğlu Architecture Founding Partner Melkan Gürsel and Martı Advanced Technology. Inc. Founder Oğuz Alper Öktem.

Delivering the opening speech of the "Finance Sector 2023 Vision" panel, President of the Presidency Finance Office Prof. Dr. Göksel Aşan responded to the questions of Sabah Newspaper Economy Desk Manager and columnist Dilek Güngör. 

The '2023 Vision of the Finance Sector' panel was attended by Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) Chairman Mehmet Ali Akben, Capital Markets Board (SPK) of Turkey Chairman Ali Fuat Taşkesenlioğlu, Turkish Banks Association President Alparslan Çakar, Halkbank General Manager Osman Arslan, Vakıfbank General Manager Abdi Serdar Üstünsalih and İbrahim H. Öztop, Chairman of the Board of the Turkish Capital Markets Association. 

Turkey 2023 Summit was followed live from Sabah, A Haber and A Para YouTube accounts and on Sabah TV between 09.00 and 18.00 on Nov. 4.

In the "Money Talks" session, held after the Summit and organized by A Para, Treasury and Finance Minister Lütfi Elvan responded to the questions of the business world in the closed session after the opening speech, under the moderation of A Para Editor-in-Chief Özlem Doğaner.
